Since 1989, the Sunshine Slopers Ski Club, Inc. have celebrated the Joy of Skiing. Currently we have a membership of 250 single and married adults and children from the South Florida area. We are proud to have been a member of the Florida Ski Council (FSC) since 1992 and the first African-American ski club in the State of Florida.
We are also an active member of the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS). We strongly support their mission to identify, develop and support athletes of color who will win Olympic and International winter sports competitions representing the United States.
The Sunshine Slopers offer year-round activities for its membership and participate in both ski and non-ski activities. We again invite you to travel with us, have fun on the slopes and kindle new friendships.
The Sunshine Slopers meet at 3pm every third Sunday at the Omega Activity Center located at 15600 NW 42nd Ave. (Near Florida Memorial University).
